We are pregnant!

It's true! We are expecting baby #1. I have had due dates that range from February 7th to February 20th so I'm splitting the difference and calling it February 14th. I hope I can keep this up and keep everyone in the loop!

Highlights so far:
Y Morning sickness is TERRIBLE! I don't wish that on anyone. It's not a good time to pull over and do your business! And whoever decided to call it "morning" sickness should be kicked in the knee!
Y My neighbor asked me today, "I've never seen you chubby, are you pregnant?" Thank goodness I can answer yes
Y Biscuits and gravy isn't a bad craving right?
Y Why put up with the pain of tight pants? Maternity pants are amazing!
Y Who knew Travis didn't want to know the sex of the baby? Not this girl! All I can say is we'll see.
Y We decided to be full Bingham County residents and switched down to Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot. It's a great place! I think it might be nicer than my house and I may never get Travis out of the waiting room!
Y So here's how it happened:
Thursday June 4:
I went to the dentist for a cleaning and checkup and the nurse asked me if I was pregnant. I told her I wasn’t sure so when I left there the first place I went was Albertson’s to buy a pregnancy test. I really should have bought those in bulk. I have taken one (or two or three) every month since June 2008. I meet Rhiannen and Kenten at home so I can take them to the zoo. I take the test and as I am about to throw it away I notice that there is a faint, faint line. I start to freak out. I don’t know what to do but call Nurse Tina. She tells me that any line is a line, even if you have to hold it just right in the sun to see it. She says to wait till the next day and take another one first thing in the morning. She’s hilarious, I can’t wait that long! So I tell Rhiannen and Kenten I have to run to town and I’ll be right back and I headed straight to Community Care for a blood test. That was the longest 30 minutes of my life so far. When they take me back into the room she tells me that it’s true, I AM PREGNANT! When I started crying she asked me if it’s a good thing or a bad thing. It’s a wonderful thing; it’s just been a long haul! As I leave there I wonder how I am going to keep this a secret from everyone I know. Especially since Rhiannen saw me crying and immediately asked me if I was pregnant. I wish I could keep a secret and think of a cool way to tell Travis, but I can’t! He stops by Terry and Kathy’s and that’s where I tell him. I said, “You’ll have to go to the next Doctor appointment with me on the 19th.”
“What do you think that you are pregnant?” he says.
“I don’t think I am, I know I am.”
To which he said, “Huh…”

Week 14

Week 14: Shake it baby!
Fetal development in pregnancy week 14: fetus in fourth month Isn’t it glorious? At about 3.5 inches long, their little body and limber limbs are coordinated enough for loads of complicated motions. In fact, their whole body is moving right now! You're not feeling it because their current size is still a bit too small to make an impact you'd recognize. Still, their movements are recognizable on an ultrasound.
Your baby is also starting to develop the ability to move their eyes this week, although the eyelids still remain fused shut. What's more, they can make all sorts of fun facial expressions as they practice squinting, frowning, and grimacing.
Cute development of the week: their little hands can grasp at things and they may already be sucking their thumb!
